The Shipping Technician I is responsible for the proper movement of finished product from prodution to the cooler racking for storage.

Responsibilities
• Complete pre-shift inspection of forklifts and submit required daily inspection paperwork.• Ensure proper rotation of product is loaded using FIFO system.• Operate powered or manual low-lift trucks in a safe manner.• Inspect trailers for cleanliness based on SQF guidelines.• Ensure all paperwork has been completed for pre/post shift activities.• Log finished product in inventory when placed on cooler racks.• Ensure assigned areas is cleaned and sanitized per SSO guidelines.• Ensure utilization of dock locks when loading trucks.• Ensure all forklifts are placed on charge before leaving for the day.• Inspect loading equipment for defects and report deficiencies to management.• Inspect trailers meet required temperature of 36 degrees before loading product.• Responsible for the distribution of product donations as requested.• Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required.• Uphold and participate in all Corporate Responsibility programming including recycling, social advocacy and MMAD volunteering opportunities.• Invest in and is an example of Milo's Responsibility commitment which includes environmental, social, and corporate governance components.• This position has responsibilities related to Food Quality and Safety.• Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).• Three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.• Applicants must have the ability to read and comprehend instructions and perform basic mathematical functions.• A valid driver's license and a forklift and electric pallet jack certification will be required upon job placement.• Required to use hands to handle, reach with hands and arms.• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.• Comfortable being exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet and/or humid conditions, occasionally exposed to extreme cold.
