Shipping & Receiving Specialist

Shipping & Receiving Specialist is responsible for scheduling outgoing shipments, receiving incoming shipments, and posting receipt of goods in Sage. The duties also include directing and organizing inventory staging for easy access for order processing, confirming incoming and outgoing shipment schedules, documenting use and damage to inventory.
Shipping & Receiving will process incoming and outgoing deliveries. The following are some of the duties and responsibilities involved:
Direct packaging of outbound shipments
Carrier selection and costing
Post sales and purchase order shipments and receipts in Sage
Maintain inventory accuracy. Confirm in-bound materials and quantities used on jobs. Track variances.
Keep files of goods shipped and received by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports in Excel.
Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling such as damage on items received, freight cost and delays.
Be able to utilize forklifts and pallet jacks to move inventory
