The Shipping Lead is responsible for efficiently controlling productivity through direct supervision of shipping associates. Shipping lead is responsible for leading, training and supervising all associates under this position. Shipping Lead is responsible for safe movement and loading of all customers' product. They are required to check and complete all required paperwork. They are also required to maintain inventories, operate forklifts, and preform quality checks. Bilingual is a Plus! Shift: 730am - 4pm or until work is completed
Schedule: Monday to Friday, an occasional weekend may be required during peak seasons
Hourly Pay Rate: $19 - $23
Experience: Three or more years' working in a warehouse environments with leadership responsibilities and or duties ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Strong work ethic and professionalism – professional and respectful in their interactions with others Prioritize the daily shipping picks to effectively meet customer needs Arrive to work on time in appropriate work attire Shows the initiative to get things done and is a highly productive team member Coordinate the scheduling of warehouse team members to meet the demands of the facility Respond to all emails and work orders in a prompt manner Secure company assets Interpersonal skills – able to work effectively with others Train and manage the warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals Submit End-of-shift report to OP Manager and the Logistic Team in China Ensure all orders have been shipped confirmed and hand-off to carrier prior to the end-of- the shift Able to print daily pick tickets, generate/release batch orders and monitor dashboard for add-on orders Direct and or assist team members in loading and unloading container and trailers Satisfy the daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly output and accuracy metrics Maintains a safe, clean and orderly workplace Lead, train, and oversee daily shipping functions Basic Reading & Writing skills Communicate any discrepancies and/or performance issues to the Leadership team in a timely manner Maintaining inventory of all shipping materials; cycle counting of inventory Responsible for any other duties or tasks as assigned by Management and to take direction from Supervisor at all times REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of high school education and three years of related experience in 3PL environment General knowledge of Warehouse Management System (WMS) and experience using RF's required Demonstrated proficiency using MS Office Products, including advanced working knowledge of Excel and Word Required to read and write English, follow verbal instructions, and use simple math Experience in operating Electric Standup forklifts and Order "Cherry" picker Must be able to work in an environment which has extremes in temperatures, both hot and cold Able to lift and carry up to 50 to 75lbs pounds Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred BENEFITS: Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance
