This role involves overseeing ship repair maintenance projects, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently within budget and timelines. Collaborate closely with project managers, crafts, and subcontractors to deliver high-quality results. Manage a portion of ship repair maintenance packages that may include installation, modification, and repair of complex equipment and systems. Functionally reports to the Project Manager and ensures that assigned work is completed on time and within an established budget. Often works with the various crafts (blast/paint, mechanical, etc.) to discuss and coordinate production work. Must also have a through understanding of shipboard systems and excellent communication skills to coordinate and work with Subcontractors. Skills Required A minimum 0-3 years of experience is recommended for this entry level position. Shipboard experience (Navy, Coast Guard) is highly preferable. Must be comfortable working onboard a ship in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Must have the ability to assess production progress and discuss production challenges with the Project Management Team and Production teams. Interacting with other shipyard departments including the customer (Government) is a common. Must have the ability to plan and coordinate work to deconflict and develop efficient workflows aboard ships during a repair availability. Education/Training/Certifications High School Degree or GED
