Duties You will serve as the ship safety requirements Manager and technical authority for ships' conditions. You will assist with managing assigned area of responsibilities of the project, including; planning, engineering, production, and testing. You will conduct daily tours of hull and ensure all Fire Zone Boundaries, topside and escape hatches are operational and checked. You will be responsible for implementation of the industrial Ship and Fire Safety Program on submarines and surface craft. You will oversee casualty response drills. You will provide recommendations to Project Management team in the areas of industrial Ship and Fire Safety. Requirements Conditions of Employment Must be a US Citizen. Must be determined suitable for federal employment. Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. Qualifications
For the GS-12 Grade level:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying ship safety principles, policies, legal requirements and practices to execute a ship safety program.


For the GS-11 Grade level:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying ship safety principles, policies, legal requirements and practices to support the execution of a ship safety program.


For the GS-09 Grade level:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector reviewing and applying ship safety principles, policies, legal requirements and practices and partnering with journey level Ship Safety Specialists to support the execution of a ship safety program.
