F4 Shift Operation Technicianscontribute to cycle time reduction by facilitating product movement, keeping lot mean time at step (MTAS) low and including advanced support tasks. The area MT is the first responder on area inefficiencies, i.e. lots not tracking/staging, data not downloading, tool lockups, and lot processed verification. The MT applies production planning reports to review historical workstation performance and identify areas for improvement. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Safety and Quality:Completes all required safety training and conducting all work in accordance with safety policiesCreates and maintains a safe work environmentPerforms safety audits and walkthroughsConsistently supports established safety and quality processesParticipates in Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) actionsContributes to continuous improvement and problem solving effortsIdentifies and helps resolve training opportunities or procedure gapsEnsures the quality of task updates and passdownsManages queue time alerts and helps coordinate when to stop/start lot orderingWorkstation Efficiency:Demonstrates expertise in driving area routine operations to ensure throughput needs are accomplishedIdentifies chronic area inefficiencies and works on resolving them through CIP, area suggestion or trainingUses planning reports such as Workstation Constraints Reports, GANTT charts, and ToolMon to improve area constraintsProactively addresses operational inefficiencies by monitoring systems, addressing notifications and raising issuesPartners with area engineering on workstation and operational enhancementsCovers additional workstations and tasks during staffing shortages or at supervisor directionMonitors status of key bottlenecks and priority workstations throughout shift to ensure they are running efficientlyEnsures tasks status is being updated and all relevant lot information is commented and passed down to next shiftDrives to shift game plan as developed by MA and SupervisorWIP Management:Facilitates the movement of product through your area(s) to improve cycle timeResolves or raises lot issues in Special Work Requests (SWR), GeRM, MTAS lotsReviews Prod/Dev hold lots and prioritizes what can be resolved and advances as necessaryFollows up on all Delayed lots: Wait_Target, _Parent, _ Dispo, etc.Follows up on Auto Stage fails, track out fails, or recipe not on tool errorsAdds MTAS comments to lots per requirementsProvides oversight of test wafer management in the area and collaborates with the Test Wafer Management teamSupport Training and Documentation:Updates or helps create procedures to align with area practices and to support trainingEnsures Assessor checklists and other documents are kept up to dateParticipates in the integration of new Learning items in the area(s)Performs area assessments and certifications on timeIdentifies the need and helps create training referencesAssists in the training of others as directed by leadershipEnsures Best Known Methods (BKM's) are documented and shared with the teamSkills and Experience:Demonstrated knowledge of statistics, Algebra, and English courseworkDemonstreated ability to effectively communicate both in writing and verballyProven ability to accurately read and interpret verbal and written instructions to improve area efficiencyBasic understanding of Microsoft Office, including: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, and ExcelProven ability to effectively type a minimum of 40 words per minuteThe willingness and ability to work any shift (12-hour shifts), which includes weekends, nights, and holidaysBasic understanding of semiconductor production operations conceptsDemonstrated time management and prioritization skillsProven ability in multi-tasking and driving basic projectsBasic understanding of SPC principlesProven ability to troubleshoot basic problems and identify and resolve root causesProven ability to recognize performance gaps and identify steps to improveProven ability to follow basic procedures and work with minimal supervisionMinimum Qualifications:Required: Two-year Associates Degree or higherand/or military training/experienceNote: Degree must include Introductory College Algebra and Introductory College EnglishPreferred QualificationsPreferred: 1 year experience inProduction/ManufacturingAdditional Job Description:Performs current Production Operator responsibilities and duties within a Fab organization as well as outlined technical tasks. Technical tasks will vary from area to area and may include monitoring and responding to SPC charts, responding to failed tool quals, processing engineering targets, SWRs and other tests, monitoring and collecting data, dispositioning lots, troubleshooting tool errors and recovery and other similar responsibilities.As a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
