A leading mechanical construction company specializing in industrial/process piping, HVAC and plumbing construction projects.Seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Estimator to join the team and contribute to continued success.Responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with piping projects.

Responsibilities
• Review project plans, specifications, and other relevant documents to understand project scope and requirements.• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to gather necessary project information.• Prepare detailed cost estimates for HVAC/Industrial sheet metal projects, including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor costs, and indirect expenses.• Utilize estimating software and historical cost data to generate accurate and competitive estimates.• Conduct take-offs and measurements of piping systems.• Prepare and submit competitive bids and proposals to potential clients.• Clearly communicate the basis of your estimates, assumptions, and qualifications.• Coordinate with the bid team to ensure timely and complete submissions.• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.• Maintain strong relationships with vendors to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.• Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions for projects.• Provide recommendations for alternative materials or construction methods.• Analyze and refine estimates as necessary based on project changes or additional information.• Assist in the development of cost tracking and control systems.• Maintain organized and detailed records of all estimates, bids, and correspondence.• Provide regular reports and updates to senior management.• Attend industry functions for networking and client relationship building.• Utilization of company resources for entertaining of clients and potential clients.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree in a construction related field.• 5+ years experience as a Sheet Metal Estimator in the construction or mechanical industries.• Proficiency in estimating software and spreadsheet applications.• Knowledge of sheet metal materials, standards, construction methods, and industry/SMACNA standards.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.• Attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
