Position Title: Remote Severe/Profound Special Education Teacher
Position Overview:
You'll have the opportunity to provide personalized and comprehensive educational support to students with severe and profound disabilities in Oklahoma. This contract position offers the flexibility to create your own schedule and design individualized instruction for each student. Utilizing teletherapy platforms, you'll engage students in meaningful learning experiences and help them achieve their academic and developmental goals.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement personalized educational plans and instructional materials to meet the unique needs of students with severe and profound disabilities.
Provide direct instruction and support to students in various academic and functional skill areas, including communication, socialization, self-care, and independence.
Collaborate with school staff, parents, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive and inclusive educational experience for students.
Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, attendance, and communication with stakeholders.
Stay informed about best practices in special education and continuously seek opportunities for professional growth and development.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
Valid Oklahoma state teaching license or certification in Special Education.
Previous experience working with students with severe and profound disabilities, preferably in a remote or teletherapy setting.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to connect effectively with students, families, and team members.
Proficiency in using teletherapy platforms and technology to deliver services remotely.
