Setup Technician Position Type: Full-time, Contract to Direct Hire (90 days)
Salary Range: $19.50 plus $.75 Shift Differential
Shift: Monday-Friday, 2:45pm-11:15pm

As a Setup Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth transitions between production runs by performing mold/die changeovers. This entry-level mechanical position requires individuals with a strong emphasis on safety, precision, and efficiency. The Setup Technician's ability to work quickly and accurately is crucial to maintaining the plant's production schedule and meeting quality specifications.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities : Mold/Die Changeovers: Execute mold/die changeovers efficiently and accurately, including removing and installing molds, changing hoses and wiring, and troubleshooting press operations to ensure parts meet required specifications. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries during setup activities. Precision and Accuracy: Perform setup tasks with a focus on precision and accuracy to ensure parts meet quality standards and specifications. Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency, understanding the importance of completing each setup correctly and safely the first time. Mechanical Aptitude: Utilize basic mechanical skills and aptitude to perform setup tasks effectively, including understanding machinery, tools, and equipment. Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot equipment and process issues during setup activities to resolve issues promptly and minimize downtime. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other setup technicians and production team members to ensure seamless transitions between production runs. Experience and Education Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent Mechanical Experience: Basic mechanical ability is required, with candidates preferably having experience in mechanics shops, machine operations, or automotive maintenance. Safety Consciousness: Strong emphasis on safety awareness and adherence to safety protocols. Attention to Detail: Ability to perform tasks with precision and accuracy, ensuring quality standards are met. Fast-Paced Work Ethic: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and understanding the importance of completing tasks promptly. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot equipment and process issues effectively to minimize downtime.
