As a member of this team, you will be required to perform specific duties to ensure departmental goals are met daily. How you will make an impact: Outbound calls to Members and Providers to provide services and/or determination of case review. Responding to inbound calls for Peer-to-Peer scheduling between the Medical Doctor's offices and our Carelon Physician Reviewers. Making outbound calls for connection of Peer-to-Peer appointments between the Medical Doctor's offices and our Carelon Physician Reviewers. Responding to inbound calls regarding Provider Portal technical issues. Handles emails and faxes pertaining to existing cases following established processes, meets quality and production standards. Create and/or send written notification to Members and Providers. Acts as a liaison between hospital, health plans, physicians, patients, vendors, and other referral sources. Handles escalated referrals from Leadership as appropriate. Contacts physician offices as needed to obtain demographic information or related data. Documents communications and actions in system. Minimum Requirements: Requires a HS diploma and a minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare environment; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background. Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences: Previous WFH experience preferred. Strong navigation skills Independent thinker Ability to work under pressure Be efficient in customer service and able to multitask while on phones. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. May travel to worksite and other locations as necessary.
