Provide customer service for CMIC Specialty Services Inc. Manage all aspects of customer international travel business, such as quote, bind, billing, and record maintenance. Identify the appropriate company/broker to place coverage with. Process all application and requests for quotes. Propose and finalize binding procedures, coverages, explanations, and financing options for Regional Representatives. Submit invoices for all policy transactions and automatic renewals and monitor loss control recommendation completions. Responsible for all incoming and outgoing communications via mail, fax, and delivery.
I. Quote, bind, bill, and maintain records of all international travel business. Review documentation and reporting on travel for accuracy. Identify and communicate issues to Regional Representatives and Service Representatives.
II. Identify for policies and coverages, the appropriate company/broker to place coverage within a defined scope. Process applications and requests for quotes.
III. Prepare proposal for Regional Representatives including outlining binding procedures, coverages, explanations, and preparation of premium financing options. Coordinate and complete binding requests, invoicing, policy review, and distribution on sold coverages.
IV. Submit invoices for all policy transactions, new, renewal, instalments, endorsements, and cancellations. Prepare and complete proposals, premium financing agreements, COIs, endorsements, policy distribution, and other services as needed. Monitor completion of loss control recommendations.
V. Process automatic renewals entailing invoicing and policy delivery follow-up. Monitor and review all automatic renewal invoices provided by carrier to ensure payment.
VI. Serve as backup to the Account Specialist (Homeowners) for banking responsibilities such as bill payment, check printing and signatures, book reconciliation, and resolution of discrepancies.
VII. Responsible for sorting incoming mail, faxes, and deliveries for distribution in the department. Prepare and send outgoing faxes, mail, and packages, and photocopy and file documents as needed. Respond to requests sent through the shared email inbox and act as a resources to others in the unit.
VIII. Complete requirements to obtain a property and casualty insurance license and maintain license with appropriate continuing education.
1. Prior Experience:
• A minimum of two years' experience in an insurance or related customer service capacity is required.
• A two- or four-year degree may waive all or a portion of the work requirement.
2. Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Postsecondary education or participation in recognized insurance education courses is desirable
3. Necessary Knowledge and Abilities:
• Ability to communicate effectively--both verbal and written.
• Ability to effectively learn and use necessary proprietary computer systems.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment, making decisions where appropriate.
• Ability to learn to analyze exposures, recognize areas of concerns, and offer appropriate solutions.
• Proven ability to make decisions based on guidelines, as well as document and explain decision as necessary.
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Ability to learn and understand invoicing, billing, and financial reporting.
• Ability to work with high degree of accuracy.
• Must maintain confidentiality of customer and proprietary information.
• Ability to work in a cooperative team environment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a property and casualty insurance license.

Exact compensation will vary based on consideration of a variety of factors including education, skills, experience, and location.
