The role of the Service Manager is to provide training and support to Electricians in the field. This is an important role in our company because this position is directly responsible for maintaining high levels of customer service and sales objectives. Coach, supervise, and staff a team of electricians as well as effectively communicates with customers. Much of the day will be spent traveling to job sites and offering coaching and guidance to our electricians. This role also includes the management and mentoring of apprentice electricians. They represent the future growth of the company and are highly valued employees.
What You'll Do Ride along with Electricians to ensure quality service Mastering of Nexstar Service System Provide constructive feedback and coaching to Electricians in a positive and professional manner Reporting of weekly activities to Champion of Sales Understanding and managing the Dispatch role Managing of customer issues within 48 hours Coach, supervise, and staff a team of Electricians Effective communication with customers Handling of disciplinary issues in a timely and professional manner Consistent biweekly 1:1 meeting with Journeyworkers Consistent monthly 1:1 meeting with Apprentices Conducting yearly reviews for all direct reports Ability to take incoming calls and book appointments as necessary Conduct impactful training sessions Ability to conduct and present weekly meetings Must be self-sufficient and be able to work independently Oversee Journeymen are following safety standards Determine and communicate employee goals and objective What Makes YOU Great You have 3-5 years supervisory/management experience Experience managing technicians Impeccable written and verbal communication skills Training experience Sales experience Strong business acumen Understanding of electrical wiring and electrical codes Analytical skills MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint Nexstar Network Service System knowledge is a plus!
