Job Summary We are looking for individuals to join our client's team as Service Assistant I. You will maintain all patient, office, and ancillary areas of the hospital in a clean and sanitary condition.
Job Description Maintains all patient, office, and ancillary areas of the hospital in a clean and sanitary condition. Maintains all carts/equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe condition. Carts/equipment are not to be left unattended. Maintains a clean/orderly appearance in all Environmental Services closets. Maintains paper and soap supplies in all areas of the hospital. Cleans/disinfects all precaution rooms in accordance with infection control policies/procedures. Picks up trash in assigned areas and places in central location for bulk pick-up. Strips/refinishes floor, shampoos carpets/upholstery, washes walls/windows, and transports furniture/ equipment as assigned. Assists in snow removal emergencies as assigned (reports to a different Supervisor for this task). Answers Environmental Services pages when assigned in a timely manner. Attends regularly scheduled Inservice training programs given by the department. Reports any maintenance problems or damages to Supervisor. Maintains a helpful, productive attitude throughout the workday. Picks up trash and soiled linen in assigned areas. Removes needle/glove boxes, chemo buckets, and soiled equipment from patient rooms and takes to soiled utility room. Skills Required Knowledge of hospital/departmental policies and procedures. Ability to read and write at a high school level. Ability to lift and walk with a weight of up to 40 pounds. Ability to maintain a high degree of personal hygiene. Ability to maintain a courteous, service oriented, helpful attitude throughout the workday. Ability to work in a standing position and carry out normally assigned duties for the entire shift. Ability to maintain confidentiality, especially regarding patients. Education/Training/Certifications High school graduate or equivalent. Additional Requirements Adhere to company guidelines regarding COVID compliance. Shift Time: 8 hours with various shifts that include day, evening, overnight Dress Code: Teal Scrubs Pay Rate $15.00 per hour We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
