Position Summary: Provides food and beverage service to all members and their guests. Assists with the management of the day to day operation of Ginty's, Legends dining and all Club Events and banquets. Greets members and their guests in the dining room and at all club functions; Maintains order and cleanliness of all Club facilities daily; Assures that member/guests satisfaction standards are consistently attained.
Essential Responsibilities: As a Server Assistant Participate in the set-up of Legends, Ginty's, and Banquets. Houseman are responsible for making sure that all food is delivered to tables using the pivot point method and pre-bussing tables in a timely manner. Along with the kitchen expeditor, you are the last line of defense in making sure that the order is correct and complete before being served. Prepares proper condiments for servicing the meal. Serves the meals; place dishes by course in front of each person serving from the left with the left hand and serving all beverages from the right with the right hand. Checks back to ensure member satisfaction; replenish beverages as necessary. Assures all tables are set-up properly. Keeps tables, dining room and wait station areas clean. Advises manager of any complaints as soon as they occur. Houseman are to use the FULL HANDS IN – FULL HANDS OUT method to ensure that we are staying busy and as efficient as possible during dinner service. Houseman are also responsible for helping with set up and resetting for the next day. Direction will be given each day by your manager, based off of the setup sheet that will be provided to you. § Attends line up meetings before each shift.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: This position requires one to have an acute knowledge of service techniques The Houseman must be positive at all times, be self-motivated and self-managing, efficient in time management and decision-making. Working Conditions/Environment: Position requires the ability to sit, stand, and walk. Lifting and carrying items up to 10 pounds is necessary and lifting up to 25 pounds is required occasionally.
