The Senior Tools Engineer will work directly with content creators to give them the power to create amazing experiences and to support our culture of iterative design to make AAA games..Responsibilities:Work with the art, design, and audio departments to design and create new tools based on the changing needs of the projectCreate and maintain documentation of all tools and their usageParticipate in the design of the game features to assist in the creation of supporting tools and technologies Improve existing pipelines and tools to decrease iteration times for content creatorsWho you are:Expertise with the C# / .NET 4.5 and C / C++ programming languages along with a strong familiarity with OO design principlesProven programming experience on multiple commercial software projectsAbility to work directly with content creators and iterate on the tools efficientlySelf-motivated and able to drive ideas to completionStrong ability to quickly learn and grow into new areas of developmentProven ability to work well with all game development disciplinesAbility to analyze a situation and communicate the most effective and efficient solutionExperience in UI design and artist workflow Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experienceDesired Skills:Shipped AAA console or PC titlesExperiance with Unreal Engine 4/5 is a plusExperience developing for game consoles (PS3, XBOX 360, etc.)In-depth knowledge of game content pipelinesFamiliarity with Perforce and bug-tracking softwareExperience with 3D Studio MAX, MaxScript, Maya, and MELMultithreading knowledgeThe pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $105,000 and $190,000 per year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
