As a Sr. Systems Engineer specializing in vehicle-level diagnostics at Oshkosh Defense, you will get the opportunity to define, integrate, and evaluate electronic control modules in the vehicle architecture for the Next Generation Delivery Vehicle (NGDV).
To accomplish this goal, you need to have a deep understanding of automotive EE architecture and experience with the CAN standards and protocols required for configuration, reporting, and diagnostic communication with various on-board modules, including OBD2.
YOUR IMPACT:
Write, review, and manage requirements in a requirements management tool Review supplier specifications and guide internal teams for integration of the control modules Review test cases and guide the vehicle verification and validation team for proper execution of test cases Ensure traceability of requirements and validation results Support system level safety analysis along with the functional safety team Plan and coordinate the configurations for the various modules with the suppliers Document and generate incident reports and tickets to address requirements, testing, or configuration issues Take initiatives to bring open issues to a proper closure Own the systems engineering requirements and test cases associated with on-board diagnostic communication MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, software or comparable 8+ years of experience in automotive field Experience in requirements management for systems engineering Strong presentation and communication skills Experience working with CAN communication and protocols 25% travel expected to support the program STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS
Master's Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, software or comparable Expert knowledge of DOORS Next Gen or Jama requirements management tools Expert knowledge of tools such as Vector CANalyzer, CANoe, PEAK PCAN, Kvaser CANKing for diagnostics and troubleshooting Experience with large OEM process and procedures WHY OSHKOSH?
