This contract is for the sustainment of the USMC's IT systems used to deliver material or logistics services in a forward deployed environment. Work will be primarily accomplished remotely but will require access to a secure government work site in the Kansas City area. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned. Serves as a technical expert in areas relevant to the project. Must be capable of demonstrating experience in conducting analysis and developing solutions and in the application of information technology. Produces and reviews technical documentation reflecting detailed knowledge of specific technical areas. Recommends measures to improve methods, performance, and quality of product or service, and suggests changes to increase efficiency. Design and implement monitoring, configuration management and reporting functions that will make a hands-off environment. Define and document best practices and support procedures. Provide after-hours support for Infrastructure related emergencies as well occasional weekend Maintenance. Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics Excellent analytical skills. Excellent communications skills. Ability to identify, analyze, and translate complex information; make appropriate judgements and evaluate options. Experience with implementation of Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG). Preferred Red Hat Cetification Master's degree.
