Responsibilities
• Lead the development of Valvoline light duty lubricant products• Manage documentation for industry and OEM specification approvals• Provide work direction to lab scientists and mentor career development• Conduct performance and quality testing for new and existing products• Evaluate new additives, base oils, and raw materials• Generate product claims data leveraging Valvoline's technology advantages• Act as technical point of contact for Valvoline's blending plants• Review and approve new labels, PI Sheets, and external content• Support Sales teams and key accounts with technical support and training• Represent Valvoline on industry committees and provide product field testing support
Requirements
• Minimum B.S. in Chemistry or Engineering Discipline• Minimum one year of relevant experience• Excellent oral and written communication skills• Familiarity with Engine/Transmission hardware, operation, and design• Attention to detail and desire for quality work• Ability to work well with others and comprehend instructions quickly• Knowledge of Engine and Transmission Performance Testing• Knowledge of oil specifications and qualification procedures is advantageous• Experience with analytical and laboratory methods• Computer skills including Excel, Power Point, SAP, and QC software• Travel required (up to 10%)• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
