Senior Staff Accountant

Job Title: Senior Staff Accountant
Reports To: Accounting Supervisor
FLSA Status: Exempt
Hybrid Work Set Up - 3 days remote - 2 days in office SUMMARY: Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for overseeing various components of accounting for month-end reporting. ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare journal entries as required by monthly close process by specified due dates Reconcile accounts as assigned by specified due dates including but not limited to intercompany for accounts receivable and account payable, inventory, prepaids, accruals and the company corporate credit card Preform analytics on accounts as required for monthly variance explanations Responding to and analyzing information requests from other departments Prepare schedules as required by the interim and annual audit Perform other duties and projects as assigned Perform all work in accordance to ISO policy and procedures QUALIFICATIONS: Strong technical skills in Accounting; GAAP knowledge required Advanced computer skills in MS Office (Excel), and accounting software Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process Intercompany reconciliations and inventory experience Accuracy and attention to detail SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES : No direct supervisory responsibility. May perform team lead duties. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Accounting required 3+ years' experience working in in a similar position required
