As a Senior Accountant you will prepare financial statements, analyze and reconcile accounts, analyze cash flow, produce budgets and forecasting, prepare audits, and handle internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the month-end close process. Review the General Ledger for accuracy. Support the CFO/Controller in day-to-day operations. Prepare reconciliations, including bank accounts and loan statements. Oversee vendor creation in the accounting system and manage contractor W-9 forms and 1099s at year-end with support from Accounts Payable. Participate in year-end review procedures. Help with quarterly reviews of accounts receivable and accounts payable aging schedules. Maintain schedules for fixed assets, prepaids, and notes payable. Handle Sales & Use tax recording and reporting. Contribute to the implementation, maintenance, and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures for compliance. Maintain the Work in Progress (WIP) Report. Assist in coding credit card transactions and managing receipts. Aid in accounting for various entities as needed. Perform ad hoc reporting and special projects upon request. Experience/Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting. CPA Preferred. 5+ years of accounting experience. 2+ years of experience in the Construction Industry. Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) preferred. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Eagerness to learn in a fast-paced, growth environment. Strong analytical abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Willingness to undertake multiple roles and responsibilities as required by the team.
