Senior Research Associate, Translational Sciences - to join our in-vivo pharmacology team .
The Research Associate will help execute our in-vivo experiments, which are critical to our efforts to develop therapeutic strategies to address the underlying cause of disease. The candidate should have a passion for working collaboratively with biologists and bioengineers to enable building the necessary tools for meeting the new frontier of CRISPR based therapeutics. Additionally, the candidate would bring expertise in rodent handling, dosing, in-life blood collection, and terminal procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with the core team to creatively design and execute in-vivo studies to screen novel gene editing candidates.
Execute critical in-vivo procedures in rodents, tissue processing and sample analysis.
Execute and train the in-vivo team in novel in-vivo techniques for dosing, tissue collection and in-life data collection.
Work with the in-vivo team in streamlining animal study execution, sample collection, and sample transfer with quality oversight
Aid the vivarium team in maintaining and managing the vivarium as needed.
Help the team design and execute hypotheses driven and properly controlled studies, analyze data with rigorous quality control, and write up publication quality reports.
Effectively collaborate with members within a fully integrated team to facilitate execution on projects with established timelines.
Analyze and present in-vivo data and communicate study design, plans, and timelines to all stakeholders.
Foster a driven, fast-paced, dynamic, and fun environment to do rigorous science.
Required Skills and Background:
A BS/BA in Biology, or closely related field with 10+ years of lab experience in in-vivo pharmacology and/or bioanalysis in pharmaceutical environments
5+ year experience working with rodents, especially mice.
Scientific thinker interested in learning the science behind the experiments.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary research team.
Preferred Skills and Background:
Familiarity with CRISPR technologies and therapeutic approaches
Experience running Bioanalytical assays in industry setting
