Senior Research Associate

Job summary
The Lab Manager position at the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute is responsible for overseeing the Tworoger Lab and its research projects.The Lab Manager will support research goals, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor junior staff.This position will also coordinate the Ovarian Cancer Cohort Consortium Data Coordinating Center.

Responsibilities
• Maintain the quality and timeliness of research lab operations• Ensure lab compliance with regulations and data/material sharing agreements• Organize lab meetings and meetings with collaborators• Develop and maintain an electronic lab notebook and train staff in its use• Implement laboratory processes and databases for workflow efficiencies• Manage project protocols and regulatory compliance• Assist in generating and managing inter-institutional data sharing and material transfer agreements• Provide management support for other research projects within the lab• Assist in mentorship of graduate students and other researchers• Contribute to writing manuscripts and grants
Requirements
• Ph.D. in a relevant field with 1 year of relevant experience, OR• Master's Degree in a relevant field with 5 years of relevant experience, OR• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field with 9 years of relevant experience• Understanding of basic epidemiologic principles and statistical analysis• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or as part of a team• Customer service skills and ability to maintain effective working relationships• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and R• Knowledge of human subjects regulations and data sharing agreement requirements
