Join Valley Fab Corp, a leading full metal fabrication shop located in Brooks, Oregon. We specialize in creating irrigators, composters, truck beds, and structures for the cellular tower industry. We are currently seeking a Senior Purchaser to lead our purchasing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic sourcing, supply management, long-term contract negotiation, supplier evaluation, and purchasing duties for existing commodities and New Product Introduction (NPI) projects. This role is integral to our mission of delivering high-quality products to our customers. Responsibilities Manage relationships with manufacturers and suppliers to achieve best total cost of ownership for procured materials/services/tooling. Lead a team of buyers purchasing raw materials, electrical, mechanical, and other parts. Ensure orders are placed in a timely manner and communicate supplier performance. Evaluate, mitigate, and communicate financial risks to the company. Resolve supplier issues using Root Cause & Corrective Action techniques. Guide new supplier development and selection. Drive cost reduction projects to meet company material spend reduction targets. Oversee supplier contract management including long term agreements. Conduct factory audits and supplier business reviews. Implement and maintain special purchasing programs with suppliers. Optimize material availability while minimizing total cost through the product life cycle. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years experience in supply chain in a highly regulated manufacturing environment (aerospace, automotive, or steel preferred). Proven ability to write reports, business correspondence, and operating procedures. Deep knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and various MRP software platforms. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional interpersonal communication skills. Excellent negotiation skills and extensive knowledge of contract law. Compensation The salary for this position ranges from $60,000 - $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
