Responsibilities What you'll be challenged to do: TranSystems Corporation is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager in Ohio. The candidate will be responsible for managing a wide range of civil/highway/bridge transportation projects as well as assisting in developing new clients and maintaining existing client relationships. The successful candidate will have a diverse background with extensive experience and capable to lead mid to large multidiscipline transportation projects across Ohio.
Primary Responsibilities (others may be included): Responsible for overall Project Management including scope development, contract negotiations, staff management, project delivery, quality, and safetyAssures that projects conform to the contractual agreementsAssures that projects are completed within the allocated time and budgetResponsible for client satisfactionPlans, organizes, and supervises the work of a staff of engineers and techniciansGrow and mentor staff, help recruit, and be a positive role modelAssists leadership team with the implementation of the Ohio/Great Lakes East Area marketing and business development goals Assists with writing proposals and making presentationsMaintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societiesServes as a technical specialist for the organization for an assigned area of responsibilityPerform Independent Reviews of major projectsServed as lead designer on projects as required Qualifications What you bring to our firm: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering field required15+ plus years of progressive experience in design and management of major highway/roadway/civil engineering transportation projectsLicensed OH Professional Engineer requiredStrong communications skillsProject management and contract administration experienceAbility to lead a design team on multiple assignmentsExperience in the preparation of plans, specifications and estimatesKnowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and various engineering and scheduling softwareKnowledge of Microstation/Open Roads Designer technologyProficiency in the preparation of plans, specifications and estimates for Ohio DOT, Ohio Turnpike Commission and other Ohio transportation clientsActively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members.Actively advocates for full inclusion in the workplace, fostering an environment that welcomes diversity and values equity for all employees, partners, clients, and the communities that TranSystems serves.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
