AtkinsRéalis has the depth and breadth of expertise to respond to the most technically challenging and time-critical infrastructure projects and the urgent transition to a low-carbon economy.About You:In thisSenior Project Manager- Contingency Engineer role, focused on emergency response,you will manage complex and unconventional technology, program management services, and delivery systems to support USACE or FEMA response programs in a post-disaster event response. You will also provide program management and technical delivery services on a variety of damage, facility, or infrastructure assessments programs and response activities.How your experience will contribute to the team:You will provide oversight and reconstruction efforts related to temporary power missions, temporary housing missions, permanent housing reconstruction, and include design and construction of Civil Works facilities focused on water resource management that include flood risk management, dams, levees, drainage, and infrastructure and environmental stewardship.Manage projects that provide clients expertise with modern construction practice, forensics, resilient designs and reconstruction, construction inspection, project scope development and cost estimatingManage assignments involving large, multi-discipline project assignments, including work in post-disaster, austere environments and may require teams with specialized technical competencies generating annual net revenue between $2 million to $10+ million annually.Projects typically involve high levels of Federal (FEMA or USACE) Mitigation, Response, and Recovery programs as well as USACE Civil Works programsProvide leadership, direction, and technical guidance to Project Managers within assigned areas of responsibility to ensure that quality management and technical services are provided to clients and that performance targets are met.Leverage your knowledge and understanding of the International Building Code, American Society of Civil Engineers design standards for flood, wind, and seismic hazard, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and other governmental regulatory compliance programsUnderstand FEMA Public Assistance Program law, regulation and policyAssist with cost proposals, coordinate scopes of work, be responsible for the project financials, and assist with construction phase services as appropriate.Create client relationships and seek opportunities for repeat business and/or new opportunities.Mentor and coach other Project Managers associated with project and technical delivery. Requirements:Bachelor's degree in field(s) of practice, generally Architecture, Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering or related. Registered Architect (RA) or Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable.Project Management Professional (PMP) desirableThis level may be achieved with a minimum of 8-12 years' experience in project delivery and technical professional activities, 2-4 of these working as a technical professional in the Federal Market.Multiple years or program experience supporting post-disaster response and reconstruction projects and clients.Experience in managing/dealing directly with DOD clients.Experience handling projects in the range of $2M-$10M+.Alternate Delivery (DB) familiarity and experience desirable.SPECIAL SKILLSExcellent technical and interpersonal skills, public speaking, and persuasive ability; very strong financial management, team management, and leadership skills; ability to manage and coordinate efforts of various projects to produce budgeted profits and overall results.Possesses specific expertise to the extent that the individual is regarded as a regional or potentially national expert in response and recovery program management or a specific discipline, contract delivery method, particular type of project, planning process, design method, or modelling technique.Personal computer proficiency is required.Interested in candidates that have solid relationships with Federal Agencies, primarily with DoD. And specifically, with USACE and with DHS/FEMAInteraction and experience with state and local stakeholders required.Willingness to be deployed and travel to launch and manage response programs and contractsPROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONSProfessional Registration in field of practice preferred if available.
