NewGround is seeking an experienced Senior Project Architect based in ChicagoThe Senior Project Architect will lead project teams and deliver successful projectsThis role requires exemplary communication and technical skills

Responsibilities
• Apply technical knowledge to aid in the development of project designs• Coordinate with Project Executives, Marketing, and Business Development for project delivery• Lead client communications through presentations, meetings, and email• Coordinate with local jurisdictions on project development• Assist in the preparation of Contract Change Orders• Assist in the review of shop drawings and make site visits as required• Coordinate external project engineering consultants• Assist in the preparation and development of specifications• Be knowledgeable on the application of building regulations to projects• Lead the team in the development of details and technical drawings• Deliver projects on schedule and within budget
Requirements
• Architectural License preferred, ideally multiple states• NCARB certification preferred• 8-10+ years of professional experience in commercial architecture required• LEED AP credential preferred
Key Skills Needed
• Strong organization• Strong verbal and written communication skills• Well versed in building and accessibility codes• Experience in all phases of project development• Experience with independent production of construction documents for commercial projects• Proficient in Revit and Sketchup• Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications• Experience with Procore or comparable software• Experience with Speclink or comparable software
