Senior Network Engineer
Salary Range: $96,000 - $125,000

They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join their dynamic team in Monterey, CA. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing their clients' network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security.
As Sr. Network Engineer you will:
Design, implement, and maintain complex network solutions for clients, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN configurations.
Configure and optimize network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
Perform network troubleshooting to identify and resolve connectivity issues, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive network designs and solutions that meet clients' business requirements.
Implement and enforce network security policies, procedures, and best practices to protect against cyber threats and data breaches.
Evaluate new networking technologies and recommend enhancements to improve the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of our clients' networks.
What you bring to the role:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering or a related role.
In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF).
Hands-on experience with network hardware and software from leading vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, and Fortinet.
Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices, including firewall configurations, intrusion
detection/prevention
systems, and VPN technologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues in a timely manner.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, CISSP) are highly desirable.
