Senior Mortgage Processor Location Lansing, MI : Summary: All Dart Bank team members take 100% ownership of their positions. They are proactive, flexible and resourceful. Be fully engaged and consistently look for improvement measures and solutions to issues that hinder your ability to be successful. 2. Processes residential mortgage loans for all programs offered by Dart Bank in a quality consistent with all company policies and procedures as well as meeting all regulatory requirements. 3. Maintains a pipeline of loans and is responsible for the timely and compliant flow of such loans through the process. 4. Contacts all borrowers within 24 hours of receiving the file to introduce yourself and request outstanding documentation. 5. Obtains and reviews necessary loan documentation and updates Encompass as needed prior to submitting to Underwriting for loan approval. 6. Monitors and ensures closing dates and company deadlines are met. 7. Responsible for following company policies and procedures as directed. Never employ workarounds to procedures or policies. 8. Communicates with, buyers, sellers, title companies, builder and agents. 9. Communicates with borrowers and third parties to obtain loan documentation both verbally and via email. 10. Effectively communicates with Mortgage Bankers and their assistants to insure the processing and underwriting components are completed in time to meet the closing date. 11. Obtains and verifies that all underwriting conditions are receive, reviewed, and cleared by the underwriter, and prepares the file for submission to the Closing Department. 12. Identifying and resolving any discrepancies with data entry and or documentation received. 13. Provides excellent customer service by effectively communicating and cooperating with all internal and external customers. 14. Keeps abreast of changes in policies and procedures, standards and regulations applicable to the company and the mortgage industry. Able to manage high volume of activity and maintain production goals 15. Adaptability and Candor: You will be working with some of the newest technology in the mortgage industry. As it evolves, we will ask you for your feedback to improve our products. 16. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to handle delicate situations with diplomacy and tact 17. Actively participate and advocate the bank's training and development programs and commitment to learning. 18. Effective and timely communication with the Underwriter regarding any changes made to the loan file. 19. Responsible for date integrity, completeness, accuracy, timeframes and effectively manage efolder/conditions. 20. Bring any issues to management/team lead as soon as they arise. 21. Work as a team to insure best practices, efficiencies and for brainstorming ways to improve. 22. Responsible for following company policies and procedures as directed. Never employ workarounds to procedures or policies. 23. Adheres to all Federal and State laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act. 24. Other duties as assigned.

Skills: Oral Communication Skills Organization Written Communication Skills Time Management Customer Relations Computer literacy
Education/Training: Minimum of high school diploma, college degree preferred.
Experience: 3 to 5 years of prior mortgage loan processing experience including experience with web based automated underwriting systems, loan origination systems and working with correspondent lenders preferred. Government lending experience preferred but not required.
