Are you passionate about leading successful design team to deliver next generation of high-performance memory that has wide-ranging applications and inspiring change in memory systems? In the HBM Design Engineering team at Micron, we deliver new designs to increase bandwidth, capacity and reduce latency across memory and storage solutions.You will be responsible for defining and coordinating new designs with multi-site team members and experts to ensure that they are completed on schedule. You will provide your team with the vital tools and technical knowledge for successful execution of design projects. You will be responsible for the management of your team through performance development and creating an environment of continuous improvement. You will be accountable to define products that meet best in class die size, performance, reliability and power specifications and plan for flawless execution from path-finding to tape-out and product qualification. You will activity participate in roadmap definition, resource planning and the design and quality methodology improvements across the department.Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Manage high performance designs from concept to tape-out and post-silicon support.Lead a team of technical designers for specification definition, design, implementation, verification, tapeout and post-silicon supportCommunicate design strategy and direction to ensuring that the team understands the strategy, priorities, and impact.Coordinate, prioritize, and manage logistic and resource allocations for multiple projectsPrioritize tasks to attain schedules and deadlinesProactively develop methodologies to resolve issuesGuide design engineers to encourage professional technical developmentCollaborate with multi-functional teams like Process Integration, Product Engineering, Assembly, Test, Business Units, Global Quality, CAD, etc to ensure that the design strategy aligns with the company's goals and objectives.Lead performance and development of team membersIdentify strengths and build specific development plans according to evaluated needPrioritize to meet timelines and deliverables within the groupEstablish goals and conduct performance appraisalsMentor and provide career developmentIdentify headcount needs and make hiring decisionsSuccessful candidates for this position will have:Extensive knowledge of CMOS circuit design, device physics, state machine logic/design principles and verification techniquesExperience with project managementStrong leadership skills.Excellent communication abilities.Required ExperienceMS or greater15+ years of relevant Engineering or Design Engineering experienceJob title and level can scale depending on experience and qualificationsThe US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:$171,000.00 - $298,000.00Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.
