As part of Harbor's VG+S team, the Contracts Team Leader will lead and oversee the VG+S Contracts Team to ensure they deliver quality services to our Vendor Management Office (VMO) Clients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.TheContracts Team Leaderis responsible for the overall delivery of contract review and management services to clients in an effective and efficient manner. The Contracts Team Leader will be responsible for overall team strategy and operations, as well as high level strategic vision, implementation of industry best practices, establishment and monitoring of service delivery standards, engaging and advising key client personnel (including General Counsel), working closely with individual VMO client teams to ensure services provided align with client goals, defining overall staffing model, and leading talent management for the group.Responsibilities:Effectively lead the Contracts Team and ensure overall quality and productivity of servicesEstablish and maintain operating standards and ensure compliance across client teams to achieve operational excellenceResponsible for engaging with VMO client teams and members of the Contracts Team on the client contracts workloads and staffing needs Work with VG+S leadership to develop strategic business goals and objectives in alignment with overall practice strategy and client needsDrive and implement strategic projects to support the goals of the practice, clients, and the Contracts TeamDevelop and optimize client contract playbooks and guidelinesCreate contract templates standards and assist with implementation of templates across clients Serve as advisor to clients and General Counsel on contract review best practices, market trends, etc.Collaborate with and report to VG+S leaders on initiatives, contract review goals (service delivery, productivity, etc.), and relevant performance metricsMaintain and facilitate proactive planning and contract management meetings with key VG+S personnel.Identify current gaps in contract management strategy, core processes and technology while developing actionable plans to implement improvementsLead talent management initiatives for the Contract Review Team including team member training and development Act as key point of contact for any questions / needs regarding contracts.Support Vendor Governance processes including on/off boarding of vendors, risk management, and relationship managementEducation + Experience Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) is required.??6-10+ years of work experience in contract development, redlining, legal terms review, negotiations, contract management4-6 years of work experience in leading legal operation teams Law Firm background preferable but not necessaryStrong familiarity with Professional Services Agreements, Software as a Service Agreements, and software license agreements, along with related contract provisions, is required. Additional Qualifications:Proven ability to assess Client preferences and policies, and adapt and optimize contract review processes for clientsStrong contract review knowledge and analysis skills, particularly in U.S. and U.K jurisdictionsExperience managing teams and multiple client demandsAbility to effectively manage multiple personnel, build collaborative relationships, and effectively communicate (orally and written) with managers, internal clients, colleagues and support staffDemonstrates proactivity and takes ownership of daily responsibilities and projects, including contract administrationEffective organizational skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environmentExtremely responsive and customer-focused; appropriate follow-up and follow-throughCommitment to superior quality and accuracyWillingness to learn and adapt to changeWorking knowledge of data privacy and data security laws (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, etc.), and experience with reviewing and negotiating related contractual language is preferable.Procurement sourcing experience or a history of negotiating with vendors
