This individual will lead the clients wireless engineering team to support the design and operations. This is a hands-on technical lead engineering position responsible for configuration and administration of all the technical requirements below.ResponsibilitiesThe primary responsibility for this position includes all efforts involved with engineering (designing, developing, installing, configuring, testing, and implementing) various WLAN/LAN task orders involving wireless network solutions.Additionally, the candidate will participate in capturing and analyzing technical requirements; documenting detailed system designs, implementation plans, and operations guides of network systems; participate in both project and operational meetings; providing Tier 3 level support utilizing change control processes.Responsible for the research and development of existing and new wireless technologies used to optimize and maintain the wireless networks.Working with 3rd party and internal departments in integrating wireless equipment with current WAN and security infrastructureOptimizing wireless performance while fulfilling security requirements for user/device authentication, encryption and intrusion detection, i.e., 802.1x RADIUS Authentication using EAP-TLSResponsible for installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and modification of wireless network hardware and softwareProvides tier 3 support with LAN/WLAN networks, client devices, including hand-held devices and associated LAN and WAN connectivity.Providing Senior-level operational Wi-Fi support (troubleshooting and resolving network problems and outages)Responsible for documentation of installed networks, to include systems design, operations and implementations guides, Visio design drawings, etcMaintains the security and integrity of all wireless hardware and software.Performs other related duties as assigned.Documentation (network diagrams, network device configuration templates, design validation reports, testing plans, etc.)QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's Degree, or a AS/AA or two-year Tech School with 8 years of experience; or a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical area with 5 years of experienceA minimum of 5-8 years of experience in wireless and network communications industry is required.Deployment and management experience with advanced security and network management tools like Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager, Aruba AirWave and cloud-based Aruba CentralProficient with Aruba Wireless solutions.
