Acts as a primary liaison with university departments, Information Technology (IT) and external vendors to define the best solutions to drive operational efficiencies and meet the strategic goals of the university

Essential Job Functions
Collaborates with other university departments to identify and optimize system applications and processes within the assigned portfolio
Oversees and researches the selection of strategic technologies to optimize university processes
Oversees the process of recommendations to system applications and processes to promote positive outcomes
Determines and proposes solutions to related matters and communicates the information to the appropriate university departments, external stakeholders or software vendors, as appropriate
Collaborates with other university departments to understand the needs and define and make recommendations for the executions of how technologies should be utilized to meet the needs of the university
Manages the approval process for technology requests considering; viability, cost and resources required to deliver requested solutions
Manages projects by utilizing project management and software development methodologies and artifacts, as appropriate, for successful outcomes
Leads system(s) requirements definition and validation activities for system initiatives
Consults with the department on the execution of testing procedures and other processes to improve the overall quality of technologies used
Oversees system related problem management by partnering with IT staff to develop and support resolutions
Monitors the departmental budget
Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Minimum of a bachelor's degree
Significant amount of experience working in information technology or other related experience
