And we'll do it with the utmost integrity, and in an environment where everyone is seen, heard and feels like they belong.Join Team Amex and let's lead the way together.As part of our diverse tech team, you can architect, code and ship software that makes us an essential part of our customers' digital lives.Here, you can work alongside talented engineers in an open, supportive, inclusive environment where your voice is valued, and you make your own decisions on what tech to use to solve challenging problems.American Express offers a range of opportunities to work with the latest technologies and encourages you to back the broader engineering community through open source.And because we understand the importance of keeping your skills fresh and relevant, we give you dedicated time to invest in your professional development.Find your place in technology on #TeamAmex.How will you make an impact in this role?The Enterprise Incident Response Program (EIRP) provides the corporate governance and methodology required to respond to data security incidents involving the potential or confirmed compromise of sensitive American Express data.As an EIRP Incident Response Manager, you will be responsible for leading a large and often times complex portfolio of data security incidents involving data impacted by American Express merchants, third parties, corporate clients, bank partners, etc. This role requires collaborating with key internal and external partners, an eye for detail, a good work ethic, and the ability to think quickly and work efficiently under pressure.Responsibilities:Use an incident response process to confirm facts, assess the impact/risk, confirm incident containment, identify root cause, and document remediation plans.Consult with legal, compliance, and privacy organizations to determine whether American Express has data subject (e.g. card member) and/or regulatory notification requirements.Collaborate and communicate with key partners across all levels of the organization including senior and C-suite leadership, legal counsel, corporate affairs and communications, fraud/risk, global security, and various business functions.Liaise with internal technologies and information security teams to acquire information and intelligence related to data security incidents.Partner with external participants on data security incident investigations including PCI forensic investigators (PFI's), merchants, third parties, card issuers, acquirers, processors, external legal counsel, and law enforcement.Provide multi-regional support and proactively contribute to program improvements.Minimum QualificationsA passion for cyber security.3+ years of experience in an incident response/management, portfolio/project management, and/or investigations related field.Experience translating ambiguous and complex concepts into understandable and practical information.Highly developed communication, time management, prioritization, multitasking, and relationship management skills.Desire to solve problems with a deep technical capability and intellectual curiosity.Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of a team.After hours support and on-call responsibilities may be required periodically.Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of related industry frameworks, standards, and regulations preferred (e.g. NIST, PCI, GDPR).Professional certifications preferred (e.g. CISM, CISSP)Salary Range: $110,000.00 to $190,000.00 annually + bonus + benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
