The Senior Manager, Implementations is responsible for leading effective teams in the implementation of new business. This position will provide leadership and technical oversight of the installation of products and systems including performance monitoring to ensure successful implementations. This position will lead and advocate continuous improvement methodologies and tools across the business and be responsible for facilitating project identification and implementation in coordination with facility operations.
This position will be responsible for….. Leads cross-functional teams in the execution of new business implementations including operational processes, controls, systems, and facility designs. Manages at least 2-3 full time exempt teammates. Management responsibilities include, but are not limited to hiring, coaching, skills development, recognition and rewards, staff productivity and performance management to include disciplinary actions up to and including termination. Plans, organizes, staffs, directs and controls the day-to-day operations of the department; develops and implements policies and programs as necessary. Overall responsibility for the execution of assigned project tasks including installing, testing and managing the project through end user deployment. Responsible for oversight of various implementation projects throughout their life cycles; ensuring they achieve on-time and on-budget performance while meeting customer expectations Sign-off on and test Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) through partnership with IT Manage customer relationship from project initiation through turnover including joint planning sessions on schedules, risks, mitigation plans, and budgets. Communicate to all levels of leadership on project status, concerns and risks around People, Service, and Profit while providing scientific data to allow for timely decision-making. Contribute to the creation & maintenance of process related best practice methodologies, training and documentation. Establish, lead, and maintain the Engineering and Implementations team strategy, and associated compliance programs, processes, & systems. Prioritize and plan new project requests. Ensure that proper procedures and policies are implemented to ensure compliance. Strong partnership and collaborating with IT and business teams to ensure timely customer value delivery. Ensure FedEx brand standards are upheld, particularly in the delivery of customer facing standards. Provides leadership in using Quality Driven Management techniques within the business, encouraging use of analysis to drive decision-making and development of improvements. Education/Experience Bachelor degree in related field with 10 years of relevant experience, Master's degree preferred. A minimum of ten (10) years of related experience, preferably in a multi-customer logistics environment. Strong management and prioritization skills, including leading and coordinating multiple projects, influencing non-direct reports and peers, ensuring on-time delivery, working with consultants, and successfully navigating in a dynamic, fast-paced and challenging environment Experience developing and presenting analysis, strategy, and findings to Senior Company Leaders Knowledge of conveyance, automatic sortation equipment, material handling equipment, and product storage systems desirable. Fluency in Microsoft Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word and Access skills is required. PMP® Certification is preferred. Ability to work independently and as a team Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Customer service driven Analytical and problem-solving aptitude Combination of office and on-site work with the travel 50-75% of the time throughout the United States and Canada (additional international travel may also be required) Physical/Cognitive Requirements With or without accommodation:
