Strong and Growing Multibillion Dollar diversified Institutional Asset Management firm focused on asset-based and credit opportunities and active in Reinsurance, Private Equity, CLO, and CDO products seeks a Senior Fund Accountant with a minimum of 3 to 7 years of Fund Accounting experience acquired in a Hedge Fund, Private Equity or Public Accounting firm with exposure to investment companies such as hedge funds, private equity funds, mutual funds, CLOs, CDO, Reinsurance or similar accounting with tax and/or audit expertise. The selected candidate will work closely with the CFO as a member of a highly collaborative team and assist the Fund Controllers with completing the month end financial close process, preparing monthly financial statements, overseeing the fund administrator, assisting in year-end audits, and performing other responsibilities as may be reasonably assigned from time to time. The preferred candidate will possess strong Excel and technology skills and desire an opportunity to learn, intern, and grow in a team-oriented and professional working environment. Responsibilities: Prepare monthly closing package to support the calculation of the Fund's NAV including working with an external fund administrator when necessary.Ability to provide financial information and reporting to internal management, external counterparties and investors and coordinate investor transactions including subscriptions and redemptions.Prepare month-end investor statements, monitor expense budgets and accruals, and be able to understand and discuss governing documents of the Fund (PPM, LLC agreement, subscription documents, etc.) Coordinate with external auditors on agreed-upon procedures work and annual audits/financial statement preparation. Work on projects to improve overall processes and accounting procedures and interact with senior management, corporate accounting, operations, analysts, and legal. Requirements: 3 to 7 years of related Fund Accounting experience acquired in a Hedge Fund, Private Equity, or Public Accounting firm with exposure to investment companies such as hedge funds, private equity funds, mutual funds, CLOs, CDO, Reinsurance or similar accounting with tax and/or audit expertise.Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economic with a CPA a plus but not necessary.Strong communication and organizational skills, Excel and technology skills, attention to detail and prioritization capabilities. Excellent interpersonal skills and successful experience working with a team.Excellent Base Salary of up to 175,000, plus Benefits, and Bonus Our client is a prestigious world class hedge fund with global presence, an excellent track record, and a history or rewarding employees with growth, opportunity and stability Benefits of working as a Senior Hedge Fund Accountant in Stamford, CT:
