You will be working with others to build the future of how characters interact with various engine systems while moving about the world. As a member of the Gameplay Framework team you'll be responsible for architecting gameplay systems, APIs, and features within Unreal Engine that allow our licensees to build the next generation of amazing gameplay experiences.In this role, you willCollaborate with others to design and develop new functionality for the Mover PluginImprove and enhance how Character Movement interacts with other engine systems; such as AI, Animation, Physics, and NetworkingContribute in solving challenging network problems related to movementImprove existing systems to be more performant, scalable, and stable.Build and maintain bridges with other teams within the Engine group to help drive and maintain visionDiagnose CPU and network performance issues to unlock the full potential of the engine for licenseesLook for ways to push the technology forward in new and innovative waysWhat we're looking forStrong C++ skills and programming principles knowledgeStrong understanding of networked game principles and how they apply towards character movementAdjacent experience in one or more of the following areas: AI, input, animation, or physicsTalent for building robust, extensible, maintainable systemsExperience developing AAA games or game engine technology professionallySelf-motivated, strong work ethic, and able to work independentlyExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate fluently in English (written and verbal)EPIC JOB + EPIC BENEFITS = EPIC LIFEOur intent is to cover all things that are medically necessary and improve the quality of life.
