POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Frontend Developer is responsible for leading and implementing the user experience of various web-based initiatives. Responsibilities include collaborating with Marketing and Design teams to set direction for UI/UX for internal and external facing systems, maintaining and improving existing codebases, and driving organizational efficiency through the use of technology. The Senior Frontend Developer will also be responsible for maintaining a highly performant, responsive, and fault tolerant web experience.

The essential duties of this job are such that the employee is classified according to the FLSA as an EXEMPT employee.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Minimal - RESPONSIBILITIES

– Satisfactorily performing and/or achieving the following Responsibilities are essential duties of the job.Responsible for setting technical direction and leading implementation efforts for Thorne's web applications, with a focus on leveraging best-in-class technologies and tools in a composable architectureDevelops high performance, responsive, and accessible web user interfaces and integrations with internal and third party APIs.Assists in the development, testing, and implementation of enhancements to the Company's ecommerce website and its suite of internal web applications.Understands business needs, translates into technical requirements, and develops appropriate solutions.Provides technical leadership and mentoring to Thorne's development staff.Effectively communicates to executives and business owners as well as system users.Responds quickly to user requests for immediate issues while also being able to drive projects to completion.Creates implementation and migration plans as well as back-out and contingency plans for projects.Stays current on technology trends and new software solutions and makes recommendations on strategic investments in new technologies and techniques.Understands the evolving security, compliance, and regulatory environments with key focus on ensuring we proactively eliminate vulnerabilities.Seeks formal and informal performance assessments, including performance versus expectations and goals, behaviors, and leadership potential.Actively participates in required training and development programs and electives as suits one's needs, and support colleagues, trainers, and management as appropriate with these efforts.Promotes the Company's Mission and Values, including an accountable, innovative, and results-oriented culture that promotes customer service, openness, teamwork, mutual trust, and respect.What You Need:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics or equivalent industry experience and 4+ years of experience in a modern JavaScript web application framework (React, Vue, Angular, Svelte, etc.) required.Strong grasp of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and REST APIs.Experience with JavaScript build, test, and deploy tooling and strategies.Experience working with headless CMS strongly desired.Computer and Technical Skills: Able to use the equipment (company-provided laptop computer) and software required to accomplish the responsibilities of the position.Ability to learn and apply industry best practices for building and maintaining large, complex web applications.Team oriented and results driven.Thoroughly and accurately understands issues and analyzes problems in a systemic fashion.Develops and delivers on assigned objectives within requested timeframes.Builds, develops, motivates, and engages highly performing teams and work cross-functionally.Possesses good interpersonal skills and engages others in a positive manner.Possesses strong attention to detail.Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills.Raises issues and concerns promptly.Documents and presents work in a clear and concise manner.Works independently with minimal direction and oversightDesired Leadership Behaviors

– Being able to meet the Physical Demands of the job is an essential duty of the job.

Must be able to work in a stationary position as well as move about unassisted for a 10-hour or 8- hour shift, and when necessary, in an enclosed room.Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as circumstances arise during the course of a shift.Must be able to operate, activate, use, prepare, and clean equipment or machinery, occasionally grasping with force and using twisting wrist movements.Must be able to hear and converse with supervisors and other employees.Must be able to see and read small print.Must be able to work in a moderate noise level environment.Must be able to move or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds from floor to table and from table to floor, occasionally, during a 10-hour or 8-hour shift.Must have sufficient range of motion with arms and hands to reach overhead and to the side, often repetitively, during a 10-hour or 8-hour shift.Must be able to ascend/descend a ladder while carrying up to 20 pounds of materials.What We Offer:
