Responsibilities
• Conduct audits to assess the accuracy of financial reports• Assist with audits of administrative and claims expenses• Write audit programs and conduct audits with little or no supervision• Assist with special projects and month-end financial period close• Maintain effectiveness of internal controls and efficiency of operations• Ensure financial policies and procedures are followed consistently• Review pertinent documents, discuss findings with Director of Finance• Evaluate compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies• Assist external auditors and compliance officers in site audits• Prepare recommendations for improvements or corrective actions
Requirements
• Minimum 5 years' experience in auditing• Thorough knowledge of accounting and auditing practices/procedures• Advanced understanding of Sarbanes Oxley regulations• Strong analytical and investigative skills• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Excellent computer skills, including MS Office Word and Excel• Ability to perform repetitive movements and see, read, hear, and speak clearly• Ability to focus, assess situations, and manage stress
