You will be part of the fast-paced, entrepreneurial Enterprise Customer Intelligence Engineering team focused on delivering the next generation global Personalization capabilities using innovative technologies.This team is responsible for Global Customer Personalization products which including API development, batch components and other technology solutions using technologies such as Java, Python, Spring Core, Spring Boot, TestNG, Cucumber & Javascript. This young team has delivered industry leading products with many firsts in the organization. Today we support 21+ channels (including Web, Mobile, Voice, Email), daily volume of ~11MM transactions a day and support content across Card, Servicing, Merchant & Membership Reward offers and are expanding rapidly with a focus on building a Global Customer Personalization Product with a focus on driving omni-channel experience for our Card members by delivering world-class innovative.Our Engineers not only understand how technology works, but how that technology intersects with the people who count on it every day. So if you're interested in a career creating breakthrough software and making an impact on an audience of millions, look no further. Key Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Own all technical aspects of software development for assigned applicationsPerform hands-on architecture, design, and development of systemsFunctions as senior member of an agile team and helps drive consistent development practices with respect to tools, common components, and documentationPrimary focus (70%+) is spent writing code, API specs, conducting code reviews & testing in ongoing sprints or doing proof of concepts/automation tools, collaborating with stakeholders through ongoing product/platform releasesDevelops deep understanding of tie-ins with other systems and platforms within the supported domainsPerforms ongoing refactoring of code, uses visualization and other techniques to fast-track concepts, and deliver continuous improvementFinds opportunities to adopt innovative technologies & ideasProvides continuous support for ongoing application availabilityWorks with product owners to prioritize features for ongoing sprints and managing a list of technical requirements based on industry trends, new technologies, known defects, and issuesApply best-of-breed technologies to build microservices over existing American Express technologiesBuild POCs to experiment new technologies and constantly pursue and learn industry leading/innovative technologies and solutionsCollaborate/influence within and across teams to create successes with an innovative attitude to challenge the status quo.Minimum QualificationsBS or MS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other Technical field or equivalent work experience10+ years of experience with Object-Oriented Design and coding with variety of languages.6+ Experience in Java, Spring/Spring bootHands on experience of Core Java concepts including Collection, multithreading, Advance Java featuresHands on experience in building REST APIsExperience in RDBMS and NoSQL databases.Strong Object-Oriented Programming skills and design patternsExperience in MicroserviceProficient in cloud computing technologies.Proficient with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.Experience with TDD, BDD and unit testing.Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) environment and their frameworksGood knowledge and experience with configuration management tools like GitHubStrong analytical and problem-solving aptitudeGood communication skills and teamworkOpen-minded and passionate about learning new technologiesWillingness to learn new technologies and leverage them to their optimal potentialPreferred QualificationsPrior experience in Personalization domain.Prior experience in high volume, critical, complex and customer applicationsExposure to Big Data technologies HBase, Hive, Hadoop, Spark etc.Salary Range: $110,000.00 to $190,000.00 annually + bonus + benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
