You will cover from clean sheet of paper through virtual development, testing/sign-off and manufacturing launch for all Scout all-electric pick-up and rugged SUVs.Integrate the battery housing in the vehicle structure as a significant part of the load path.Ensure with your team a close collaboration with the energy system team and other important stakeholders (e.g. vehicle safety, body in white team, …).Working together with suppliers and engineering service providers and controlling their participation in the projectBuild and coach a diverse team while fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture, promoting continuous learning and professional development among team members.Develop prototypes for virtual and physical verification testing, including field testing.Ensure designs conform to safety standards and U.S. government regulations.Proactively stay attuned to consumer experience and propose system improvements accordingly.Contribute to the design of production facilities for body systems of the Scout trucks & SUVs.Manage resources efficiently including infrastructure, financial, supplier partners and people.Be a key member and decision maker within the technical leadership team and liaison with all Scout functions.Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly. This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Novi, MI.
