This role will be located at our Centennial, Colorado facility. Role Overview: Beehive Industries is looking for an energetic and driven  Senior Engineer, Combustor  that has experience working with aviation product applications gas turbine experience from a mechanical and aero design perspective. This role will partner with various cross-functional leadership on a daily basis facilitating development and delivery of a gas turbine combustor system. 
Key  Responsibilities: Execute the chemical and aerodynamic design, analysis, and evaluation of a combustor using sound engineering principles while meeting industry standards and program requirements.  Responsible for delivering aerodynamic solutions using 1-D, 2-D, and 3-D tools with gas turbines. Experience in designing new combustor systems that are optimized and reliable for high altitude applications. Perform fuel spray system development and evaluation to ensure stable combustion. Assist with component and system trades from an aerodynamic perspective. Set test objectives and limits, instrumentation and test data requirements, and test planning to execute component validation.  Be a part of a diverse system design team. Ensure products and sub-systems meet overall requirements from a design perspective. Advocate for component durability while understanding the trade-offs and business decisions necessary to deliver the best overall solution. Coordinate with other analysis engineers and hardware owners to optimize the overall system to meet product requirements. Help with design reviews and coordinate with other disciplines in design, performance, stress and life, additive manufacturing, materials and system analysis Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments Assist with methodologies to develop new technologies to optimize the overall aerodynamic performance of a gas turbine with additive manufacturing. Participate in the research and development of technologies and methodologies associated with additive design to drive further capability in combustor systems.  Assure proper documentation of technical data generated consistent with engineering best practices Work with suppliers to procure hardware and resolve producibility and quality issues Desired Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college At least 6 years of experience in gas turbine and combustor design Strong understanding of design software tools Experience working with gas turbines for aviation product applications from a mechanical and aero design perspective. Experience working with additive manufacturing technologies and familiarity with design for additive manufacturing principles. Passion for additive technology and willingness to challenge current design limitations to further exploit the benefits of additive capability. Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills Demonstrated problem solving ability and strong program leadership and execution skills. In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $90,000-$160,000 base salary. Please note that wage information is a general guideline only, and we will consider factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, and market conditions when extending an offer.
