They will architect and analyze new system-level designs that meet product specifications. They will also serve as a mentor to other electrical engineers. The ideal candidate for a Sr. Electrical Engineer  would be able to do the following: Engineering department lead on electrical wiring, components, circuits, power standards, and safe design principles. Perform electrical wiring sizing calculations and verify/check the designs done by other electrical engineers. Mentor junior engineers and train them on critical system design aspects such as heating elements, wiring interconnects, energy calculations, etc. Oversee component or electrical testing and approve wiring, bench setup, and circuits prior to test events and facilitate coordination with other design engineers and lab personnel, as applicable. Prepare electrical design documentation using appropriate CAD packages and supply documentation as needed to technical publications for incorporation into operator's manuals and tech service documents. Provide electrical engineering support and hands-on troubleshooting for manufacturing, R&D Lab, and field service. Work with CE and UL agencies and departmental regulatory personnel to insure compliancy of all electrical designs. Support testing and troubleshooting on-site at customer locations or test sites. Total Cost of Ownership – As assigned, focus on product cost reduction activities in support of and defined by yearly cost metrics and targets. Function as part of a product design team and liaison person between various functional groups: Sales, Production, Service, Corporate Communications, Customer Service, and Engineering departments. Analyze new and existing products in the areas of design, function, styling, and other engineering factors to standardize components and units by model, application, design, materials, dimensions, etc. to effect simplification of designs, interchangeable parts, reduced inventories and costs. Qualifications For a candidate to be successful as a Sr. Electrical Engineer they must have: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or similar required 7-10 years experience with designing and supporting electrical designs in a manufacturing environment; experience in the food service equipment industry preferred  Experience with process controls and writing control logic is a plus Knowledge of electromechanical components and circuits Proficient with AutoCad, SolidWorks 3D Electrical (or other 3D electrical CAD software) and PDM Familiarity with PCB design (schematic capture, layout, routing, generating manufacturing data) with Altium Designer experience preferred Understanding of DFSS (DOE,QFD/CPM, DFMEA, robust design, mathematical modeling, reliability analysis, etc.) Understanding of Agency and Certification Standards such as UL, CE, NEC, CE, TUV and NFPA Additional Information We are looking for team-members that exemplify and live our High FIVE values:
