Then the infrastructure team is for you!Hatch is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our electrical team in Columbus, OH with design and project management experience to support municipal water facilities (water plants, booster pumping stations, surface water transmission, raw water pumping stations, disinfection system conversion, wastewater treatment plants, sanitary sewer lift stations and storm water pumping stations).This position reports to the Regional Manager.This position requires relocation to Columbus, OH.Salary is $120,000 to $150,000. Hatch offers a generous benefits package including Health Insurance - Available the first day of full-time employment, Paid Time Off, Paid Parental Leave, Company Paid Income Protection BenefitsNot enough information on the profile.Responsibilities include:Develop a thorough understanding of the project requirements as they relate to scope, cost and schedulePrepare a list of engineering deliverables and time-based functions to facilitate the planning and control of the engineering budgetMaintain the project scope of work documentation and revisions as required during the design evolutionReview and execute the electrical and layout design criteria documentsReview electrical technical deliverables (specifications, datasheets, drawings, etc.)Assist in the preparation and development of project specific proceduresDefine the system requirements to achieve the project results and monitor effectivenessRepresent the electrical practice in project engineering coordination meetingsParticipate in electrical design reviewsEnsure coordination, between the electrical team and other disciplines, of all activities being performed as the design evolvesEnsure that quality audits of engineering work are carried out in accordance with project procedures and the quality assurance planPromote and maintain the application of ethical and professional practices in the execution of electrical engineering workEnsure that all work designed, manufactured and supplied in the electrical engineering discipline complies with the relevant sections of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)Participation in the compilation of the client Project Safety Management Plan with specific reference to switching, isolation and lockout proceduresQualifications and Experience:Bachelors of Science degree in engineering from an accredited universityMust be registered as a Professional Engineer (P.E.)Minimum 10 + years of progressive experience within an EPCM, heavy industrial, power generation, or water/wastewater industry preferredStrong deliverable focus and ability to plan the workA high degree of understanding of interdisciplinary dependencies related to the disciplineStrong understanding of procurement, contracting and commissioning methodologiesKnowledge of industry/regulatory codes and standards (NEC, NFPA and IEEE standards)Knowledge on electrical calculations (short circuit, load flow, protective device coordination, arc flash and harmonics)Knowledge on specification of large motor/generator sets and associated equipment, including high-voltage switchgear, transformers, starters and related protection systemsKnowledge on electrical design tools / software such as ETAP, SKM, or Easy Power.
