As the Vendor and Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing relationships with external vendors and overseeing project execution to ensure timely and successful delivery. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, identify suitable vendors, negotiate contracts, and monitor project progress. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record of managing vendor relationships effectively.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and requirements. Identify and evaluate potential vendors based on project needs, cost-effectiveness, and quality standards. Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors, ensuring terms and conditions align with project goals and company policies. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, serving as the primary point of contact for communication and issue resolution. Coordinate project activities, including vendor selection, procurement, delivery schedules, and resource allocation. Monitor project progress and performance, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies as needed. Conduct regular meetings with vendors and internal teams to review project status, address concerns, and ensure alignment with timelines and deliverables. Manage project budgets, expenses, and invoicing processes, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines and reporting requirements. Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to vendor performance, project milestones, and outcomes. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize vendor relationships, project delivery processes, and overall performance. The above duties are meant to be representative of the position and not all-inclusive. MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS : Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field.
Proven experience in vendor management and project management roles, preferably in [industry/sector]. Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices. Excellent negotiation, contract management, and vendor relationship management skills. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite. PMP certification or equivalent is a plus. PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE : Healthcare distribution and Patient Support Services, i.e., Specialty/Retail pharmacy, HUB Support Services, Third Party Supply Chain and Logistics services, other Procurement, Negotiations/Contracting, Project Management KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES : Relationship focused, with excellent interpersonal skills for dealing with internal and external stakeholder relationships. Proven ability to define, launch and manage complex projects. Ability to think innovatively and translate innovative ideas into practical solutions. Results-oriented self-starter, with strong sense of ownership and assertive follow-through. Excellent time management skills, with ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and deadlines. Stays abreast of changes in the healthcare industry and how those changes may present opportunities for our business. Well-organized and detail-oriented, with ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple projects. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to build winning relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Must be able to build rapport and collaboration across all organizational levels to enhance the performance of the business unit. Can work equally effectively both independently and as part of a team. Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, MS Project) other Project Management softwares PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Limited travel may be required Location of job activities 100% inside Extensive manual dexterity (keyboarding, mouse, phone) Use of phone for communication Sit for prolonged periods of time Occasionally lift, carry, and move up to 25 pounds Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
