WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for a Senior Director, Product Design, Apparel Design Excellence for Brand Jordan. You will lead, shape, and instruct design tradecraft across the organization landscape, while continuing to drive x-consumer functional excellence and consistency. 
As a Senior Director, you will be a "benevolent objector" who acts as a guardian of product quality and rigorously challenging designers, as a competitor would, to fortify our creative standards.
Aligned with the Creative Director, you will safeguard consistency and the distinction in our products, driving us to exceed our own benchmarks. You will be the ear and the voice of Brand Jordan's apparel product excellence, while providing honest and constructive feedback resulting in the highest standards.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
Duties involve leading end-to-end (from concept to consumption) approaches which ensure a cohesive vision involving multiple product aspects including innovation, material, and digital/tech capabilities. 
While partnering with Product Management leaders and Creative Directors, you will maintain a distinct brand consistency along with a cohesive Brand Jordan apparel vision.
Additional duties involve setting high standards and holding teams to meet, and exceed, these goals. You will build design processes resulting in functional excellence and quality control that aligns with our consumer standards.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will report to the Chief Design Officer who supervises the creative vision, strategy, and Brand Jordan's direction.
WHAT YOU BRING
BA/BFA/MA/MFA preferred. Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of relevant education, experience and training with a focus in design, operations, or technology preferred. Design experience: 10+ years. Functional Authority in Footwear /Apparel, deep knowledge of methods of make, digital/tech, material, and innovation.  Experience in leading a culture of functional excellence and upholding the standards of design excellence.  Drives design craft, methods of make, innovation platforms with a creative & collaborative mentality.  Promote design as a fundamental business capability and collect insights and standard methodologies of outstanding external design organizations.  Influence and lead a thoughtful, collaborative design process in partnership with the appropriate partners (Creative Directors, Operations, Tech Development, Product Management, Innovation, etc.). Experience in World Building and visualizing business opportunities and translating them into reality. X-Discipline Creative Team Leadership. Master presentation and communication skills.
