Senior Director of Human ResourcesLocation: Hybrid remote in Colorado Springs, COFull-time position with 40 hours per week
Job seniority: director level and above
Responsibilities
• Provides overall management for all human resources functions• Reviews and recommends changes and improvements for policies, procedures, and practices in human resources• Maintains knowledge of and continually reviews industry trends and employment regulations• Coordinates and advises department managers in the implementation of human resources functions• Oversees performance evaluation and compensation strategies• Develops and maintains current human resources policies, procedures, documentation, and employee handbook• Manages department budget and plans future budgets• Oversees and evaluates the work of human resources staff• Serves as a role model for staff• Participates and contributes to Board of Trustees meetings
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational development, or a related field• Ten years of experience in human resources, organizational development, or a related field• Certifications in SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR preferred
Key Skills Needed
• Expert knowledge of Pikes Peak Library District's policies and procedures• Excellent presentation skills• Experience in planning and managing complex human resources projects and budgeting• Supervisory skills• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Ability to maintain confidentiality• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
