Physical Requirements: The physical requirements of this position include: occasionally standing or walking with objects up to 25lbs; regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time with occasional repetitive motions (such as typing); and occasional job-related travel ( Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00-5:00. May include some weekends and holidays per business needs. This is a hybrid position; remote work and on-campus attendance expected.
Job Summary: The Senior Director of Enterprise Strategy will be responsible for Service Line and System Strategies of the organization. This role serves as a liaison between the ESO and key Service Line and System leadership. The Senior Director owns the relationships with service line and enterprise function leaders to facilitate organizational alignment to the strategic plan and is responsible for managing the process for approval and prioritization of Service Line and System strategic initiatives. This role will focus on the following:
Service Line Strategy: Market / Region Strategies per service line to drive scenario planning with regional strategies and create market share targets Faculty workforce planning; "shaping" scenarios Sg2 Growth Modeling (compare to UKHC & State) Facility planning (Ambulatory vs. Inpatient); Gap Analysis / Program Planning Marketing (programs) Support Academic Service Line Operating Model Ambulatory strategies Primary contact Sg2 (super-user, contact) and Advisory Board
System Strategy: Develop annual strategy work plan and quarterly progress reports Oversee strategy development in values-based care sector (complex chronic care, value based care and value based payments) Support College of Medicine strategic initiatives (clinical, research, education, etc.) Support foundational strategies in diversity, patient/family experience and engagement (faculty & staff) Support comprehensive recruitment planning for existing and new services Internal Certificate of Need management (development of new CONs, submission of progress reports, etc.) Primary liaison to technology initiatives (both clinical and IT)
This is a hybrid position.

Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills. Ability to draw consensus on competing interests between individuals and among groups to move strategic initiatives forward. Ability to prepare business plans, marketing plans, and strategic plans. Ability to independently filter and prioritize information and projects for appropriate communication with all levels of leadership. Ability to develop written and oral computer presentations using complex information in a precise and graphic format. Self-directs and self-educates on future external impact factors; appropriate summarizes and makes recommendations to team and enterprise. Ability to interact with confidence and work efficiently and effectively among enterprise function leaders within the Enterprise, its affiliates and outreach sites. Values the importance of developing and maintaining positive working relationships with direct reports and colleagues throughout the Enterprise; promotes a team philosophy. Ability to supervise staff and develop others to step into future leadership positions through development plans, coaching and empowering others to take on greater responsibility.

Preferred Education/Experience: Degree from a recognized college or university in Business Administration, Business Management, Health Administration, or business-related field is required. A Master's degree from a recognized college or university in Business Administration, Business Management, Health Administration, or business-related field is preferred. Ten (10) years of work experience in business development and strategic planning with demonstrated skills and leadership experience in a large, multi-faceted organization(s). Experience in a complex, matrix and academic medical center environments is preferred.
