Role Overview Our company is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Operations Leader to lead our commercial operations teams and provide strategic guidance to improve sales performance. The Senior Director, Commercial Operations will be responsible for managing all aspects of the commercial operations process, including forecasting, pipeline management, sales compensation, sales analytics, and CRM management. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, exceptional communication skills, and a track record of driving sales growth. The Senior Director, Commercial Operations will have direct management oversight of the Customer Success, Solutions & Pricing, and Lead Generation team and operational oversight of the Sales team. The Senior Director will report to the General Manager and be part of the Policy Reporter Management Team.
Sales Operations Responsibilities Lead and manage the Customer Success, Customer Support and Lead Generation team and track critical success factors such as subscription renewals, customer journey and utilization statistics. Partner with the Sales Management and Marketing departments to refine lead qualification processes, analyze and report on campaign performance with reporting and dashboards. Own the end-to-end process of tracking the sales funnel and operational metrics; deliver regular insights to the business; define and deliver techniques to enhance sales productivity and improve the funnel performance for opportunity management. Establish clear departmental goals to keep Policy Reporter customers active and productive, to retain customer and to sustain and grow recurring revenue. Lead the strategy and implementation of integration of commercial systems into other Policy Reporter operational areas and systems like Big Time and NetSuite. Support the sales team using Salesforce/Salesforce Price Books/Conga Contracts with process improvement, measurement, tracking and analytics. Create monthly content highlighting critical sales statistics and process improvements for executive presentations and board reporting. Assist with on-boarding and training new sales talent. Refine customer segmentation, assist with territory management, and create a plan to enhance upsell processes. Establish clear retention goals and process milestones for the client and employees to work toward. People Leadership Responsibilities Manage members of the Customer Success, Solutions & Pricing, Lead Generation team, monitoring performance and developing individual capability. Provide direction on standards and expectations, and best practices. Provide guidance and support for goal creation and achievement through the Performance Management Program. Perform and document routine assessments on performance, providing and soliciting feedback from team members as well as initiating corrective action procedures as required. As a member of the Management Team, be generous with your experience and expertise in providing insights to help the company improve and grow. Minimum 10 years of relevant business management experience. Proven track record of driving sales growth and achieving targets and excellent organizational skills demonstrated for challenging client, complex interrelated or technically oriented projects. Excellent understanding of one or more lines of business, and previous exposure or experience with multiple solutions/products. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and drive results. Excellent consultative, listening, communications and interpersonal skills, with the ability work across the organization and interact/influence/negotiate effectively at all levels. Possess a flexible leadership style capable of leading a large, diversely-skilled organization and able to respond to a rapidly changing and fast-paced customer base. Have a mindset to think strategically about our business opportunities and deliver well-thought solutions. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and develop team members.
