The Role

AspenTech is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who will work as an influential member of the Development Operations (DevOps) team that builds automation around the secure development life cycle of the Digital Grid Management (DGM) product suite. You will develop, enhance, and maintain infrastructure and the build process, streamline product deployment and releases processes, and enhance monitoring and reporting capabilities of KPIs.

The Role

AspenTech is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who will work as an influential member of the Development Operations (DevOps) team that builds automation around the secure development life cycle of the Digital Grid Management (DGM) product suite. You will develop, enhance, and maintain infrastructure and the build process, streamline product deployment and releases processes, and enhance monitoring and reporting capabilities of KPIs.

Your Impact

Influence adoption of a DevOps culture by understanding and communicating the vision and best practices of DGM's secure Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) throughout the department.
Actively participate in continuous improvement by exploring industry trends, best practices, and implementing new technologies that align with direction of SDLC initiatives.
Influence decisions that enhance and standardize DGM's SDLC practices.
Demonstrate a strong ability to mentor, guide, educate and lead team members as well as development teams from a technical perspective.
Apply security best practices to solutions and applications used in DGM's SDLC.
Collaborate with team members to design and implement dynamic and ephemeral architecture with various OS's, virtualization, containerization, and orchestration technologies.
Collaborate with peers to design and implement extensible services and solutions that support continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
Collaborate with team members and individuals outside the team to troubleshoot and resolve variety of issues.
What You'll Need

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field.
5+ years of experience in software development, DevOps, and/or IT operations.
Experience securing and administering Linux and Windows systems.
Experience with provisioning and Infrastructure as Code technologies (Packer, Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Ansible).
Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Podman).
Experience managing packages, dependencies, and policies with JFrog Platform.
Experience managing and supporting continuous integration/delivery systems (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience developing enterprise applications using dependency aware build tools (Maven/Gradle, NPM, Nuget, Conan).
Experience with orchestration technologies (Kubernetes).
0-5% travel required.
