You'll apply mixed methods to own the end-to-end life cycle of creating data assets, reports and insights to impact the direction of efforts across Epic's portfolio of products and ecosystems. The successful candidate will have the ability to apply a range of data technologies, statistical methods, and visualization methods to influence development and product teams.In this role, you willPartner with design and product management counterparts to identify opportunities for the business and use data to develop metrics and insights that shape the execution of the strategyWork with development and data platform teams to capture the data required to unlock insights and modelsTransform raw data into insights and production metrics, reports, and modelsContinuously evaluate the effectiveness of metrics and to align them with long-term ecosystem growthWork with product and analytics teams to quickly and rigorously design, test, and learn from experiments to improve the productWhat we're looking forAt least 3 years of industry or relevant experienceStrong product intuition and the ability to shape strategy for a complex ecosystemUnderstanding of experimental design and A/B testing techniquesDemonstrated background in influencing products by applying data and measurement to drive alignmentExperience with working with development teams to instrument data and ensure continued data qualityExperience in data visualization (Tableau or similar)Experience with writing efficient SQL on distributed computing using Spark (Scala or PySpark)Familiarity with supporting technical componentry including: Code version control (Github or similar), Orchestration (Airflow preferred), Model tracking (MLFlow or similar)Experience in a "full-stack" environment - data file ingest, ETL, data storage interaction, application development, communication of results to storage systems, code version controlAdvanced statistical training and a thorough understanding of the associated strengths and weaknesses of different statistical approaches is a plusDevelopment experience in Python ML/analytics ecosystem is a plusEPIC JOB + EPIC BENEFITS = EPIC LIFEOur intent is to cover all things that are medically necessary and improve the quality of life.
